The experience
Depart from Stresa or Baveno aboard your private Venetian-style taxi-boat. Admire Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori from the water, passing island gardens, grand residences and picturesque waterfronts as you cross towards the eastern shore.
Arrive in Laveno Mombello and take a short walk to the cableway. As you ascend towards Sasso del Ferro, the town falls away beneath you and the view opens across the lake towards the surrounding mountains and distant Alpine peaks.
At the panoramic terrace bar, settle into the pleasure of an Italian aperitivo. Savour your drink, enjoy the company and linger over the scenery before descending to Laveno, where your private boat awaits. The return cruise offers one more chance to enjoy the lake after discovering it from above.
